Captain Morgan Private Stock is a rum for those of you who already know and love Captain Morgan’s usual spiced rum. The Private Stock is a premium rum whose base is taken from Puerto Rican rum. This rum first matures in oak barrels for two years and is then flavoured with the finest spices, including vanilla.

The spirit presents itself golden-brown in the glass and exudes notes of fine vanilla, caramel and honey in the nose. These aromas can also be found on the palate. The Captain Morgan brand is named after a Welsh pirate who was sent to the Caribbean in the second half of the 17th century by the English Crown. Three times, the captain was appointed Lieutenant Governor of Jamaica and accumulated a great wealth. During his tenure he rigorously opposed pirates. In 1688, the former pirate died in Port Royal, surrounded by a lot of rum.
