Champagne Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs
Charles Heidsieck is one of the first champagne houses to demonstrate his passion for Chardonnay with a Blanc de Blancs. Launched only in 2018, the Cuvée combines two specialities: the production of great white wines and the art of combining the extraordinary diversity of different vintages and terroirs. Experience the freshness of a young Chardonnay paired with the unique character of “Charles”.

Taste
In the glass, the pale crystal gold reflects the taste of the fine champagne. In the nose, aromas of white stone fruit meet candied citrus fruits. White peaches and sun-ripened limes alternate. Honeysuckle and fresh hazelnuts pave the way for tangerine and lemon flavours. The palate then reveals the fullness of harmonious aromas. Typical for “Charles”: freshness and sweetness alternate. The opening is pure and blunt. The harmonious finish is surprisingly mineral and a little salty.
Perfect Serve
We recommend the Blanc de Blancs as an aperitif with raw, iced or marinated oysters as well as with gently smoked fish, veal ceviche or crustaceans with green curry. The best drinking temperature is 8 – 10°.

Charles Heidsieck already presented a Cuvée Blanc de Blancs (1949) in the late 40s of the 20th century, as the first champagne house ever. The new edition in 2018 corresponds entirely to the extraordinary Charles style – fine texture, complexity and silkiness. Here, too, the elegant bottle shape of the Crayères is modelled on it.
