Barrel Selection

Before the delicious drop is filled into 1.0L bottles (Travel Retail Size), it is stored traditionally in sherry barrels made out of oak wood. The maturation phase is mainly responsible for the development of taste, aroma and colour.

Aroma

Glenfarclas is strongly characterized by a fine sherry note. There are also impressions of honey, heather and hay. Its fruity side can be enhanced by notes of melon, pineapple and, after the whisky breathes, also apricot.

Flavor

Sherry is clearly recognizable on the palate. A little bit of malt melts with impressions of almonds, vanilla and pineapple. Glenfarclas develops a sweet-fruity taste and shows the palate only the best of itself. An unmistakable peat smoke envelops the tongue and surprises with an outstanding presence.

Finish

At the end a long-lasting finish is perceived by the tongue, which brings the last notes of oak with it.
