A little stronger than the 10- and 12-year-old bottling of Scotch Whisky from Speyside is Glenfarclas 15 YO. It captivates with a more intense character and contains 46% Vol. in the 0.7L bottle. According to the manufacturer, the colour of the Scotch is created only by its barrel storage – colouring are not used in their bottlings. This is already the first proof that the Scottish distillery attaches great importance to the high quality of its products.

Cask Selection

A typical Glenfarclas whisky is traditionally matured in sherry casks. The golden drop is allowed to develop its unique aroma and taste during a period of 15 years. And it succeeds in doing so.

Aroma

Sherry is clearly the dominant note in Glenfarclas 15 YO’s deep bouquet. The single malt whisky’s aroma is intense and complex – perfect for connoisseurs. Cream candy, grass and fruits such as oranges, kiwis, apricots and apples are recognizable during the nosing and merge wonderfully with hints of honey.

Taste

The intense and complex character of Glenfarclas 15 impresses the tongue. The Scotch Whisky shows with great power tones of white chocolate and black pepper. Notes of orange and grapefruit provide the perfect fruitiness. It then becomes interesting with a little spice: Wood, smoke and roasted aromas envelop the tongue and create a wonderful taste experience.
