Gosset is the oldest wine house in the region of Champagne. After having established the house in 1584, the founder Pierre Gosset first pressed his very own grapes to still red wines. When most wines started bubbling in the 18th century, the messieurs of the house too switched to the sole production of champagne. Since then, Gosset has been able to build up a reputation for making refined cuvées – one of them being the Grand Rosé Brut!
The champagne is based on an assemblage of 58% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and additional 7% of red-pressed Pinot Noir, which gives the wine its beautiful salmon rose colour with some cherry-red specks. The aromas range from rose hip over redcurrant and strawberries to peach and several other fruits. Its finish is delightfully long and soft. Together with its elegantly bulbous bottle, the Gosset Grand Rosé Brut is a real must-have for wonderful occasions!
