Isle Of Jura 18 years 0,7L (44% Vol.)
The Isle of Jura Single Malt Whisky finds its origin near Scotland’s west coast. The small picturesque island of Jura is home to less than 200 inhabitants and has been home to the Jura Distillery since 1963. The distillery added to its portfolio in 2018 with the Seven Wood, Journey, 12 Years, 10 Years and 18 Years Scotch Whisky Editions. The design of the bottles combines the distillery’s old style with modern powerful product design. The Isle Of Jura 18 Years is proudly presented in the golden hue of rosewood and has what it takes to become a classic in the Jura Distillery’s single malt Scotch whisky range.

Production
This 18-year-old combination of peated and unpeated distillate is matured in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak. It is further refined by finishing the maturation in Premier Grand Cru Bordeaux casks. These French red wine casks previously contained first-class Bordeux wine from top vineyard sites and provide the difference in the Isle Of Jura 18 Years Whisky compared to other whiskies with a sherry cask finish.
Aroma
The spicy notes of cinnamon and toffee provide a good vibrancy and show a very complex depth after 18 years in the cask. Interestingly, the well-balanced sweet scent of tropical fruits follows.
Taste
In the full-bodied taste, one can expect dark notes of cocoa, complemented by coffee and juicy fruits from the forest. The whisky also presents the slightly bitter taste of dark chocolate, which continues into the finish.
Finish
Charmingly, subtle coffee and fruity notes lead into the long sprawling finish. They leave an exceptionally well-adjusted impression that may be discovered with pleasure.
