Aging
Laphroaig Triple Wood acquires its taste and colour through its aging process in three different cask types. These include ex-Bourbon barrels, European ex-Sherry barrels and quarter casks. This results in a special taste composition with the characteristic Laphroaig smoke, a pleasant sweetness and a fine note of oak wood.
Nosing
Laphroaig expresses itself intensively and powerfully in the nose. The most present instrument in the symphony of aromas is the strong peat smoke. Furthermore you can also enjoy impressions of bourbon vanilla and oak during the nosing.
Taste
The single malt whisky from Scotland in a 0,7L bottle impresses the palate with an unexpected sweetness reminiscent of sherry and sets itself apart from other whiskies of the brand. Nevertheless, impressions of vanilla and smoke remain leading components of the taste profile.
Finish
As in its taste, the finish of Laphroaig Triple Wood is smoky and particularly long. Sweet sounds of Sherry are expressed at the end on the palate and leave a lasting impression.
