Smell and taste
Even the colour of the Cuvée Rosé is elegant: it shimmers between a delicate raspberry red and salmon colour. The nosing is surprisingly clear and fresh with a variety of red fruits: raspberry, redcurrant, strawberry and black cherry. On the palate, this Champagne sparkling wine is soft, round and has a clear, acidic attack – very much in the style of the house of Laurent-Perrier. Once again, the numerous red fruits appear and confirm the impression of freshness and elegance.
Production
Only Pinot Noir is used for the Cuvée Rosé. The grapes come from about 10 crus located mainly in the southern and northern part of the Montagne de Reims: Ambonay, Bouzy, Louvois, Tours-sur-Marne and Côte de Bouzy.
After the grapes have been selected and destemmed, they are put into stainless steel tanks. A maceration of two to three days after the harvest allows the unique colour to be extracted and gives the sparkling wine the aromatic diversity and complexity of Pinot Noir. This Champagne Cuvée Rosé matures for at least 5 years before being tasted.
Laurent-Perrier
Laurent-Perrier is one of the most famous sparkling wine producers from the Champagne region in France. It received its distinctive style in the 1950s from Bernard Nonancourt. He wanted to create the Laurent-Perrier champagnes unique and elegant, like an aperitif. Therefore, he steadily increased the proportion of Chardonnay grapes in the champagnes.
To this day, you can recognise a champagne from the house of Laurent-Perrier by its multi-layered character: citrus fruits, aromas of white fruits, plus notes of toast and cake – an unmistakable assemblage of freshness, finesse and elegance.
