Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Brut 0,75l (12% Vol.)
For the Grand Siècle champagne (0.75l), Bernard Nanoncourt broke with the champagne conventions of the time, which dictated that a prestigious cuvée only come from one vintage. In his eyes, the Grand Cuvée of Laurrent-Perrier had to have an unmistakable character that presented the art of assemblage to perfection: “The best of the best with the best!” Thus, for this Champagne Cuvée (12% vol.), three outstanding vintages were created from the best crus and the most outstanding grape varieties.

Smell and taste
This outstanding Cuvée Brut from France presents itself on the nose in the classic style of the house of Laurent-Perrier: intense and complex aromas of candied citrus fruits appear at first, followed by notes of yeast pastry, toasted almonds and more subtle scents of honey and gingerbread. The taste is initially characterised by freshness and elegance and then reveals itself to be full-bodied with an appealingly balanced finish.
This fine sparkling wine is best enjoyed at a serving temperature of 10 to 12 degrees with a fine meal such as fish, veal fillet or truffles.
Production
Grand Siècle Champagne is made from 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir. A selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from 11 of the 17 Grand Crus sites was chosen for it. It is aged for at least 8 years.
Its bottle pays homage to the 17th century, the time of the Sun King and a high period of the arts, the Art de Vivre and the understanding of a new gastronomy.
Laurent-Perrier
The house of Laurent-Perrier, listed on the stock exchange but still a family business, is one of the most famous Champagne sparkling wine producers. It got its unique style from Bernard Nonancourt, one of the most important Champagne players of the 1950s. He wanted to achieve an elegant aperitif mood for the Laurent-Perrier champagnes. He achieved this by steadily increasing their proportion of Chardonnay. To this day, you can recognise a champagne from the house of Laurent-Perrier by its complex character: citrus fruits, aromas of white fruits, plus notes of toast and cake – an incomparable assemblage of freshness, finesse and elegance.
