Background
As the founder of Brut Champagne, Perrier Jouët has been a recognized name since 1854. The noble champagne, which already seemed to be very tasty for Napoleon III when he enjoyed it at a lunch in the London Guildhall in 1855, is characterized by noblesse, prestige and refinement.
Production
Fifty different crus form the taste of the Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut, which expresses the variety, quality and in-house winemaking tradition. The effects of the annual climate on the consistency of the Perrier-Jouët style are clearly noticeable. The elegance and finesse of Chardonnay (20%) meets the fine structure of Pinot Noir (40%) and unites with Pinot Meunier (40%) from Vallée de la Marne. With this fine drop you can expect harmony, fruit and a wonderfully round profile.
Taste
At first glance, the bright and sparkling robe already inspires you, suggesting a lively perlage. In the nose elegant and balanced structures can be perceived, which can be seen in notes of flowers, fruits and roots. Subtle aromas of vanilla and butter are slowly added before the full variety of champagne unfolds on the palate. Bergamot, lemon, plum and other floral and orchard accents make their way. Lime and honeysuckle pave the way for Madeleines, butter and vanilla sugar. The ever more powerful sweetness is solved by persistent notes of grapefruit and white stone fruit. Hazelnuts round off the taste. Look forward to this balanced champagne and its long-lasting finish.
