Cultivation of the ruin type Blanc de Blancs
French flair and nostalgia: the Champagne House Ruinart has a company history dating back to the 18th century. Today the grapes are grown on the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, where they grow particularly well due to the calcareous soil. The very special aroma develops through the subsequent ageing process in the chalk cellars, where the champagne must be stored for up to three years. As early as 1768, the company purchased cellar facilities, so-called Crayères, which form the basis for optimal maturation.
Optics
With the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs you will find a golden shimmering champagne with light green nuances. Not only the appearance of the contents, but also the Magnus bottles are striking and special. It resembles, according to the founding period of the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, the first champagne bottles of the 18th century.
Flavour and odour
Here, the most diverse taste nuances come together to form an exclusive and fresh blend: notes of citrus fruits such as lemon, stone fruits such as peach and white flowers.
Besides the taste, the Ruinart Plan de Blancs also convinces with a flowery, fruity and fresh smell.
Bottle size
You are still unsure whether to choose a small or a large bottle of Ruinart Blanc de Blanc? A small bottle always offers the advantage that a larger amount of different types of champagne or wines can be tested. However, the reduced thickness of the glass wall quickly results in a loss of quality due to light and temperature. Furthermore, small bottles contain a higher proportion of air, which can lead to premature maturation. Therefore the following should apply: if you have already got to know and love high-quality champagne, a 1.5-litre magnum bottle is certainly the better choice for you.
Serving recommendations
It is important that the golden champagne is kept cool and dark throughout and served at a temperature of 10-12 degrees. Then this versatile pleasure can be enjoyed in many different ways: whether it is served with fish or seafood, or as an aperitif. The Magnum bottle is also very well suited as a noble accompaniment at a party.
