The Talisker distillery has omitted an age specification for the Neist Point Scotch, as it has done for the Dark Storm or the Skye in the past.

Nosing

The gentle scent of Talisker Neist Point already brings you to the wonderful coast of the Isle Of Skye. Slightly smoky and maritime, the sea note of the single malt initially unfolds rather discreetly. The wild side that distinguishes Talisker whisky is also unobtrusive but concise: A hint of spices and oak as well as a subtle fruity note round off the fragrance wonderfully.

Taste

Talisker connoisseurs will immediately feel at home with the taste. The tip of the tongue tickles with the characteristic chilli note, which is also present at Neist Point. This gradually loses intensity and gives way to the unfolding aromas: a spicy spiciness, fresh citrus fruits and a little maritime sea salt. In addition there is a slightly sweetish and a smoke aroma that increases in tasting.

Finish

In the finish, the particular complexity of Talisker Neist Points is evident once again. Its finish is very long and shows the sweetish components, also the taste after old oak comes repeatedly to the fore.

Name

The Talisker Neist Point owes its name to a small peninsula of the Isle Of Skye. It also marks the westernmost point of the island. There is a listed lighthouse, which can be found on the noble Neist Point packaging.

Age

For some time now Talisker has refrained from indicating the age of some whisky varieties. Therefore, no year can be given at Neist Point either.

Origin

Talisker-Whisky has its home in the only distillery on the Isle Of Skye. The stormy weather of the Scottish island is reflected in the respective products. Be it a tingling spiciness, the spicy sea air or an untamed wildness that finds its way into the whisky varieties in the form of spices or fruit notes.
