Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut Rosé in the limited edition “Bucket Cake”
This limited edition in honour of the 200th anniversary of the champagne house Veuve Clicquot comes in the form of a huge cake with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut Rosé inside of it. For decades, the French prestige house has proved a great sense for design and trends. This is why Veuve Clicquot regularly launches sensational limited editions. Just like this one, released in early 2018, in the form of a metal cake in the classic Veuve-Clicquot colours: orange and pink.
Not only dreamy from the outside: inside the Bucket Cake hides the magnificent Ponsardin Brut Rosé
The Brut Rosé is made from an assemblage of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. This gives this Veuve Clicquot champagne a wonderfully rich nose with aromas of raspberries, cherries, strawberries and cookies. The fruity notes also outweigh the palate. All in all, this cuvée presents a very fruity and fresh character, making the cuvée a perfect accompaniment to sushi, sashimi or tenderly grilled tuna.
The name Veuve Clicquot translates from the French as “widow Clicquot”. The house was founded in 1772 by Philipp Clicquot as a wine trading company. Later, the business was taken over by his son Francois. When he died early, his widow Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin took over the business. That’s where the world-famous name derives from until today.
