Aroma

On the nose, this Overproof Jamaica Rum has a pervasive scent of banana, with exotic fruits and freshly cut grass as a counterpart. 
On the palate, a strong taste of exotic fruits begins, accompanied by classic Jamaican notes such as molasses and vanilla, which loosen up the subtle alcoholic bite.

The finish is long lasting, which is otherwise only known from matured rum. This Premium White Overproof Jamaica Rum skilfully combines heaviness and strength into a full-bodied taste.

Production

The clear Premium Overproof Jamaica Rum (63% Vol.) is a blended rum made from three “un-aged” Pot Still Rums. “Pot Still” stands for a distillate that has been discontinuously distilled in a copper kettle. The term “Overproof” is used for those spirits whose alcohol content is above 57% vol. A large part of the rums sold from Jamaica belong to the white Overproof Rum varieties.

A white Overproof Rum like this is bottled without barrel storage with increased alcohol content. For this reason we recommend it for mixing long drinks and cocktails.

Manufacturer

The Worthy Park Estate Distillery is responsible for this Jamaican Overproof Rum. It is located in the heart of Jamaica in the Lluidas Valley. A sugar cane plantation belongs to the distillery, from which it receives exclusively the ingredients for its rum. Therefore this rum is a pure Jamaican product and also free of any additives like sugar, flavours or other.

The history of the sugar cane pantage goes back to 1720 and the current Clark family, who have owned the Worthy Park Distillery since 1918, decided after a long abstinence from the rum trade in 2004 to produce a range of Jamaica Rum with the high quality ingredients from their own plantation. In 2007 the Rum-Bar brand was launched and since then has been producing the three Rums White Overproof, Gold and Rum Cream.
